Individual Counselling
Clients often seek counselling when they are feeling stressed or anxious, navigating life transitions, processing grief, or struggling in their relationships.
Therapy can help you better understand yourself and your loved ones and help to create meaningful, lasting change.

In my work, I aim to understand each client’s unique challenges, hopes and goals.
I provide psychoeducation on the brain, nervous system regulation, attachment, and the impact of stress and trauma on mood, emotions and behaviour. Through this process, I support clients in increasing self-awareness, improving emotional regulation, strengthening communication, and building deeper connections.
Together, we work to reduce conflict, improve relationship patterns, and support overall mental health and wellbeing.
My Approach
In my counselling practice, I draw on a number of therapeutic approaches and theories. My work is grounded in a bio-psycho-social perspective, meaning we explore how you are functioning across your neurobiology, thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

I work extensively with the nervous system, helping clients understand what optimal functioning looks like for them. In counselling, I support clients in learning to track their stress responses so they can avoid going from 0–100 and better recognize when they are beginning to enter a stressed state of fight, flight, or freeze.

This approach is especially helpful for those experiencing anxiety, addictive behaviors, relationship issues, impacts of childhood trauma or emotional overwhelm. Together, we work to understand your triggers, identify the resources you already have that help bring you back to a state of calm, and build greater mental and emotional resilience.

Counselling can support you in reducing anxiety and depression, managing ADHD symptoms, improving self-awareness, and developing healthier patterns in your life and relationships.

Many people seek counselling because they feel stuck in repeating patterns—whether internally or in how they relate to others. Often, it’s not just a communication issue, but a regulation issue. When we feel calm and grounded, we tend to be more empathic, more curious about others’ experiences, and better able to learn and maintain focus.

In our work together, we focus on understanding attachment patterns, strengthening emotional regulation, and developing skills for more intentional and effective communication. This process supports greater self-understanding, reduced stress, and improved overall well-being and life satisfaction.

I am trained in the Gottman Method for couples counselling, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, CBT, Somatic Psychotherapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Attachment Theory, and a trauma-informed approach to mental health care. I integrate tools from these modalities based on your unique needs and goals in counselling.
